Maral-Obe (D'ni Oboe)
We know little about the musical instruments used by the Dn'i. The only thing we know for certain is the use of the Maral-Obe. This instrument is a kind of oboe which may sound a bit like the armenian DuDuk, but there is a document that suggests it might be closer to the sound of a baroque oboe. However, there is the similarity shared by the Maral-Obe and the DuDuk, the cylindrical bore with ten holes to consider.

With somes documents , we are making a reconstruction of this instrument. Here are two screen shots of our preparatory work:

Wow! Great job! This is amazing! Where did you get the sound samples? I'm really interested in Dn'i music, but have been looking for songs from Uru everywhere, without any success! I would be interested in links...
Otherwise, I had two other questions. The first one is:
Would you allow people to join a Dn'i choir? I would be very interested in joining it, for I love singing and think that Dn'i music has quite a few interesting soprano solos and choirs alltogether.
My second question was:
was that last piece a Dn'i song, or was it an example of the Duduk?
Lastly, I would like to say that I'd be very grateful for your reply, and support you fully in your reconstruction!
Good job! Keep up the good work!
Shohrah!
